Islamic Estate Planning Attorney Ahmed Shaikh

Ahmed Shaikh is an Attorney and expert in Islamic Estate Planning based in Orange County, California.    He is a Partner and head of the Asset Protection and Estate Planning Group at Bohm, Wildish, and Matsen LLP in Costa Mesa, California (this is his personal website).   Ahmed’s nationwide practice encompasses Islamic inheritance planning, domestic and international asset protection, special needs, charitable planning and tax planning.  He is the co-author of the only practice treatise on Islamic Estate Planning in the United States, “Estate Planning for the Muslim client” in 2019.  The book has become a vital source for lawyers who want to help their Muslim clients.

Ahmed has been a  Certified Specialist in Estate Planning in California for over a decade.  He is also past chair of the Trust and Estates Section of the Orange County Bar Association Section on Trusts and Estates.  Ahmed has been a member of the California bar since 2000 but helps clients nationwide and internationally.

Ahmed has been a regular speaker and education organizer, having spoken at Estate Planning Attorney Conferences, Islamic Conferences and a range of other events. He is a former member of the ISNA Executive Council, among other turns at service both professionally and within the Muslim community.  He is a graduate of San Diego State University and the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University, Bloomington.

Ahmed lives in Irvine, California with his wife and three children.
